Kiki Keren-Huss
Born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, Kiki Keren-Huss is a composer and sound artist, She studied at the Rubin Academy of Music and the Musicology department at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Her work focuses mainly on chamber music, opera and music-theatre, with a strong electroacoustic component. As a composer and sound artist, she often collaborates with choreographers and visual artists. Her compositions are performed in Israel and abroad, including five fully staged chamber operas. They have been recorded and broadcast on Israeli national radio, and on television and the internet. She has also held a residency as an International Fellow in the Vermont Studio Center and a residency as a Schusterman Foundation Fellow at the University of Virginia.
She works in The Naggar Multidisciplinary School of Art and Society in Jerusalem, where she founded and was the head of the Advanced Studies Program for Experimental Music & Sound Art and now teaches composition in the new music department.
